Management assistant, FMO – Netherlands Development Finance Company, The Hague

FMO has three strategic sectors: energy, agribusiness and financial institutions The agribusiness team focuses on sustainable agribusiness and offers investment opportunities with a high development impact. In this team we are looking for an experienced Management Assistant who supports one of the Directors. 


In this role you will facilitate positive working relationships in the delivery of administrative tasks and services within the secretarial team where you will replace each other if needed. Key responsibilities in supporting the Director include managing calendars, meetings, travel and expenses. Furthermore you will write minutes for MT meetings and provide support to other team members occasionally. You will be planning, organizing and monitoring appointments for external meetings, deal with (international) telephone conversations and assist with organizing business trips. You provide support for national and international events and welcome international clients. Last but not least you will be managing and monitoring client administration in a complex system.

The ideal candidate is proactive, quick-thinking, flexible and able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities with unwavering attention to detail at all times. You cope well with deadlines and are a good teamplayer. You are used to working independently, service-oriented and able to set priorities. You are curious, demonstrate significant initiative, and inherently exercise good judgement. Ability to think ahead and anticipate needs of function and remain calm under pressure. You have outstanding organizational skills, demonstrate accuracy and sharpness, also in stressful situations. 

De functiecriteria

  • Bachelor degree.
  • At least 5-10 years working experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent computer skills required/Tech savvy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Full time (40h) preferred; 36h per week possible.
